The naturally breezy weather conditions on The Gower Peninsula enable Rhossili and other parts of Gower to lend themselves very well to kite flying. Whether you want to fly your kite on the beach or from the top of Rhossili Down make sure that you visit Gower Kite Centre first to buy your kite and accessories.
We have lots of different types of kites in stock, but any kite that we don’t have, we can usually order and despatch within 4-5 working days. If you can’t manage to come to us, we can post kites directly to you, simply contact us for more information.
We are more than just a kite shop we also do a wide range of goods for a day at the beach. From food for a picnic to a bucket & spade or a good local book to help you explore the Gower
The local bus stops regulary at the park entrance and provides service to most of the Gower beaches and into the City centre (day time only). Up until 1912 the road stopped here and the horse drawn bus was kept at the farm next door.
Rhossili village on the westermost tip of the Gower overlooks Worm’s Head, accessible with care at low tide and the wide expanse of Rhossili beach. The village has a number of small shops and places to eat and ample parking space.
We are only a 30 minute drive from Swansea city centre, where you can visit the Olympic swimming pool, The National Waterfront Museum or take the family to see a film at one of the cities multiplex cinemas followed by a game of bowling.
Across Swansea bay is the Victorian seaside village of Mumbles with its pier, castle and local gift shops. Still famous for its “Mumbles Mile” of pubs its the perfect setting for a meal and an evening stroll along the sea front.
